[ARCHIVE] POEM-A DREAM WITH YOU

Across the room of many faces
Whom I barely know
I was picking up my paces
For there you stood, still and white as snow
Your penetrating eyes
They seemed blank with tears
You looked at everything
But to you, nothing was all there is

I came over and said
"Will you dance with me?"
There was no answer
Just a smile
Making me wonder deeper
Should I have stayed away a mile?

A scream so sudden
Shook me up
Getting me up
Just like a wounded pigeon
I see you falling
A face so serene
But you never looked up
On your face there's traces of pain
that no one can ever sum up

Across the room of many faces
whom I barely know
I was picking up my paces
For there you lay, still and white as snow

You're not just a dream
You are real
My dream with you
Remember always, I will.

-edited-

I'm not sure what my inspiration was, why or when I wrote this poem. Just browsed through my old blog and found this gem. Edited it a little bit, because the original version was too cheesy =P

Written while I was in INTEC, this poem is quite naiive and innocent, don't you think? Belum ditampar makcik hidayah dan disiram tarbiyah lagi. Haha. It depends on how you intepret it. Just thought that didn't want this to be lost in time. =)

Wassalam.
